Job Summary
The Business Continuity & Planning Emergency Analyst supports developing, coordinating, maintaining, and advancing Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and other emergency planning across the UCSF enterprise. This critical role helps to ensure that UCSF departments and units maintain and enhance preparedness for disruptions to essential functions and services, particularly those that cannot be interrupted for more than 30 days without compromising UCSFs mission. Duties include coordination, facilitation, and analysis of Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and Business Continuity Plans for UCSF departments and divisions with essential functions and services. This role also supports developing, coordinating, maintaining, and advancing Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs). Strategic and operational plans will be created and updated to be executable, practical, and meet and exceed all regulations and requirements at the local, state, and federal levels and compliance with relevant regulations, accreditation standards, and university policies, including those set by The Joint Commission (TJC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1660. The position also provides technical guidance and quality assessments to ensure planning documents are regularly updated and appropriately disseminated across departments. In addition, the role evaluates the effectiveness of existing plans, recommending enhancements where necessary. The planning process will include active engagement with teams across UCSF to ensure understanding of plans and incorporate lessons learned through working groups, training, and exercises. The Business Continuity & Planning Analyst will participate in the on-call program, including rotations for 24/7 incident response as part of the Emergency Manager On-Call program.Emergency Management

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. The annual salary range for this position is $69,700-$149,900, with a min. target entry point of $87,300+, depending on experience.
