Position Overview
The Business Processor is responsible for executing a variety of administrative and operational tasks to support the efficiency and accuracy of the business. This role will focus primarily on contract cancellations, claims reconciliation, data entry, and document processing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Administration:
- Process the cancellation, void, or reinstatement of contracts in accordance with company policy and client requests, while under the direct supervision of the Business Processing Manager.
- Ensure proper documentation is maintained for each cancellation transaction.
- Mail Processing:
- Open, sort, and process incoming mail from the parent office daily via email.
- Route correspondence to appropriate departments or individuals as needed.
- Claims Reconciliation:
- Reconcile claims paid by reviewing the claims paid report provided by the Business Processing Manager and confirming payment accuracy. This includes GAP benefit payout, customer reimbursement checks and vendor payments.
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate resolution with the appropriate team.
- Document Management:
- Assist in the creation of and maintain internal documents, reports, and records with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ensure all documentation complies with branding, regulatory and internal standards.
- Data Entry & Record Keeping:
- Enter, update, and maintain records in internal databases and systems.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist with general administrative duties such as scanning, filing, emailing, and tracking workflow progress.
- Provide support to internal departments as needed on special projects and routine tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative, operations, or contract processing experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn internal systems quickly.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualications:
- Experience in automotive, insurance, warranty, or financial services industry.
- Familiarity with contract management and claims reconciliation systems.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday.
- Hybrid/Remote work with occasional in-office time periodically.
- Must be able to work extended hours during peak processing times.
Other Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug testing.
