Cnc Machine Operator Opportunity

Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturer in Watertown, SD. Were seeking candidates for CNC Machine Operator roles. Compensation for these temp opportunities ranges between $19.00-$28.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Interested? Read more below!

What You Will Do As A CNC Machine Operator:

• Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches of part to determine operation requirements
• Mount work piece between center in chuck or in collet
• Depress buttons, toggles, and start machining operation
• Observe displays on control panel and compare with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments
• Perform spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications per instruction on In-Process Inspection Report; complete all in-process inspection requirements
• Operate additional machine during computer-controlled machine cycles when necessary and feasible
• Machine metallic and nonmetallic materials
• Deburr products produced as needed
• Mark and/or tag nonconforming material as needed and place them in nonconforming hold designated areas
• Tag and/or mark completed material and move product to appropriate areas
• Watch and check coolant fluid levels during machine operation

What You Need To Be A CNC Machine Operator:

• High school diploma or GED; plus 13 months of related experience and/or on the job training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and instructions short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
