Job Description
We are hiring a competent CNC Operator for a local manufacturing facility. This is a great opportunity for someone right out of school and looking to gain experience. You will need to know how to run the CNC machine to safely and accurately perform a variety of functions. Maintaining, setting and adjusting the machine are all part of the operator's daily tasks.

Duties Include-

• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling etc.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines perform the correct function.
• Prepare and load raw materials onto the machines.
• Prepare a test run.
• Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
• Check, maintain and clean machinery daily.
• Maintains equipment with preventive maintenance and requirements.
• Complete production and quality logs.
• Participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator
• Know how to operate CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
• Basic understanding of CAD/CAM
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
• Keen eye for detail and result driven
• Good communication
• High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in CNC based extended learning programs is a plus!
