Akkodis is seeking a Data Center Technician (Junior) for a Contract job with a client in Dalles, OR. Ideally looking for applicants with hands-on experience in equipment handling, cable installation, and hardware support in physically demanding environments.

Rate Range: $20.85/hour to $22.85/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Center Technician (Junior) job responsibilities include:

• Transfer tools, parts, and equipment between workstations and operational areas.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the working environment.

• Assemble, disassemble, populate, and depopulate equipment racks.

• Replace failed hardware components using hand and power tools.

• Install Ethernet and fiber optic cables per defined processes.

• Operate barcode scanners and associated software tools.

• Follow detailed instructions and collaborate with team members to ensure project success.

Desired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Minimum 3 years of general work experience in a skilled (nontechnical) field.

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs (23 kg) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, climbing, and pushing/pulling.

• Manual dexterity for component-level repairs.

• Basic knowledge of computers and computer maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with test method validation and gauge RR.

• Familiarity with vision systems and logic.

• Experience in operations or new product development.

• Comfortable working in a physically demanding data center environment.

Pay Details: $20.85 to $22.85 per hour
