Carrier Enterprise (CE) is a national distributor of residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts and supplies through licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors. CE operates primarily in the business to business (B2B) environment where its products are sold through licensed HVAC dealers and HVAC contractors. The Director of Business Development will be an integral part of the management team. It's an exciting opportunity for a self-driven individual who will be responsible for the design and execution of sales strategies, policies, and programs for the Business Development Team. This position will report to the President and lead a team of Business Development Representatives (BDR) professionals to drive sales and margin growth for the Florida .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Business Development Director

  • Manage BDR team(s) in achieving sales and margin growth goals
  • Conduct weekly progress reviews on account activity with BDR's
  • Be an advocate of the sales channel to develop, execute and monitor sales programs
  • Develop and implement market growth strategies that drive results for this sales channel
  • Use technology and analyze metrics/data to achieve goals; build on Opportunity Process
  • Responsible for scaling up newly created BDR group. Increase capabilities of group through training, coaching, goal setting and product understanding.
  • Planning and delivering CRM strategies in BDR group. Monitoring relationships with customers through CRM systems.
  • Ensuring the CRM system provides an effective sales funnel. Create opportunities and new contact and communication strategies.
  • Report out to management on results and actions being taken; track % sales, %GM growth, %sales on-line, account activity, and account management
  • Participate in the recruiting process to hire and train BDR's: Develop, coach and motivate the BDR team to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved, and monthly sales and growth targets are met.
  • Excellent time management, organization and planning skills are essential to be successful in this role. All candidates must be self-starters with proven ability to handle multiple priorities

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 3+ years leading a sales team
  • Experience leading a team utilizing CRM software (Sales Force).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead high performance sales teams
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
