Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and responsible individual to join our team as a Dog Daycare Attendant. As a Dog Daycare Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and happiness of our furry guests. Your responsibilities will include supervising and engaging with dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments, maintaining a clean and organized facility, and providing exceptional care to our clients' beloved pets.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and supervise dogs in playgroups to ensure a safe and positive environment.
- Recognize and address any signs of aggression, anxiety, or discomfort among dogs.
- Promote positive social interactions and play.
- Welcome pet owners and their dogs with a friendly and customer-focused attitude.
- Provide updates to pet owners regarding their dogs' activities and behavior.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility, including play areas, restrooms, and common spaces.
- Conduct regular cleaning and sanitization of toys, bedding, and play equipment following SOP.
- Report any maintenance issues or supply needs promptly.
- Follow feeding schedules and administer medications as instructed by pet owners.
- Monitor dogs during meal times to ensure all dietary restrictions are observed.
- Assist with maintaining accurate records of each dog's activities, behaviors, and any incidents that may occur.
- Help ensure all required paperwork, such as vaccination records, is up-to-date for each dog.
- Act quickly and appropriately in the event of an emergency, including administering basic first aid and contacting veterinary services if necessary.
- Familiarize yourself with emergency evacuation procedures.
Qualifications:
- Genuine love and understanding of various dog breeds and their behaviors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with pet owners.
- Ability to stand, walk, and engage in physical activities for extended periods.
- Capability to handle dogs of different sizes and strength levels.
- Punctuality and commitment to scheduled shifts.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Previous experience working with dogs in a professional or volunteer capacity is a plus.
