Flight Operations Specialist

The Opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic and energetic Flight Operations Specialist with the ability to support across the AFVP Aviation Group product suite. In this crucial role, you will provide technical support for our suite of software solutions. You will be required to have experience working in dispatch, aviation operators and/or have your private pilot’s license. You will work on our technical support team, liaising with our global flight operations support team & development teams to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. 

Duties and Responsibilities  

• Responsible for North American (NAM) specific flight planning support with a technical support emphasis, including requests related to any size and type of aircraft, IFR or VFR, rotary, or fixed wing
• Effectively communicate product features and bug reports specifically related to flight planning, filing and route related requests through our agile toolset
• Troubleshoot using aviation specific technical knowledge to provide software support related to
• Work with development personnel to investigate and resolve support requests within our applications and online toolsets
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple business units in an enterprise environment
• Take ownership of reported incidents and problems, maintaining consistent communications and ensuring resolutions relating to the APG, RocketRoute and Seattle Avionics product suites
• Perform initial assessment and prioritization of reported issues
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience and Job Qualifications

• Ability to converse with persons at all levels within the aviation industry
• Minimum of five years of aviation experience, with a professional qualification, Dispatch or Private Pilot’s License or similar evidenced knowledge gained practically
• Minimum of two to three years’ experience in a technical Service Desk or systems support role
• Competent Office 365 user, including spreadsheets and strong general IT competence
• Outstanding communication skills and working across different cultures
• A strong ability to proactively analyze and problem-solve
• A highly customer-focused mindset

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
