A rewarding opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers with a focus on math instruction for grades 6-12. This position is based in a positive, academically focused middle school environment in the Greensburg, PA area. The school specializes in serving students with autism and learning disabilities, providing tailored support in a non-aggressive setting where educators play a critical role in student development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective math instruction aligned with individual education plans (IEPs).
• Manage cases, monitor student progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Develop and implement behavior plans when necessary, with preference for candidates experienced in this area.
• Support students primarily with autism spectrum disorders and various learning disabilities.
• Maintain a collaborative relationship with parents and public school districts to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education (6-12) teaching certificate is required.
• Possession of a Pennsylvania Math (6-12) certificate is highly preferred.
• Experience teaching math to middle and high school students with special needs.
• Skilled in managing individualized instruction and behavior plans.
• Commitment to working within a supportive, academically driven environment.

Schedule & Location:

• Full-time contract for the school year.
• Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
• Located in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
