Ethos Aveda Salon & MedSpa, in Saint Louis, MO is looking for Senior & Master Level hairstylists to join our incredibly strong team. We are located on 173 Carondelet Plaza in the heart of downtown Clayton next to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and engaged.

General Requirements, Skills, and Abilities

• Previous Hair Salon service and selling experience (2+ years), and previous AVEDA (or similar) product selling experience
• Bias for action, reliable, positive attitude, team orientation, collaborative, coachable, organized, cleanly, professional
• Bring energy and passion to the role; support a positive team culture
• Take ownership of responsibilities and initiatives; remain engaged with management, identify, and communicate potential challenges
• Reliable and responsible for scheduled work shifts; arrive on time for shifts including evenings and weekends
• Present and always reinforce appearance and dress code standards
• Maintain all safety and security standards and identify and communicate potential problems
• Participate in educational training and meetings (in-person/online/via phone)
• Be an exemplary team member by adhering to Ethos’ employment manual
• Perform other duties as assigned by management and/or required

Qualifications

• 1+ years of hands-on experience as a licensed hair stylist
• Must have direct, hands-on experience in all areas including color, cut, and waxing, and can effectively perform these procedures. Experience in keratin straightening and hair extensions is a plus.
• Must possess an unencumbered license active in the State of Missouri and comply with the stated scope of practice as defined by the appropriate governing body. Must have a clear disciplinary history record.
• Must display a willingness to work in a rapidly scaling environment, and to work collaboratively with other staff. Must be a self-starter and drive significant impact with limited direction and/or resources, utilizing social media to promote the salon and services
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, willingness to work in a collaborative, positive environment
• Self-starter with the ability to work with others and get work done
• Comfort with computer systems and retail sales processes. General computer, smartphone, and tablet familiarity are required. Previous medical spa POS system knowledge (i.e. SalonBiz, Zenoti, Millennium, etc.), digital consent form experience, and appointment booking experience is preferred.

Schedule

This role provides client services, in-person, and requires days, evenings, and weekends

• Must be available during hours M-Thurs 8:30 am-8:30 pm, Fri 8:30 am - 6:30 pm, Sat 8:30 am - 4:30 pm and work shifts as assigned
• Scheduled for approximately 20-40 hours per week, depending on needs
• Job Type: Full-Time
