Join to apply for the Instructional Partner role at Pearson1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Instructional Partner role at PearsonPurpose: In the pursuit of student academic success, Product & Technology (P&T) Instructional Partners collaborate with Connections Academy school teams to identify and prioritize problems-to-be-solved and work to provide solutions for these needs based on deep understanding of their specific curriculum, instruction, and technology landscape via the optimal implementation of existing products and tools.Reporting to the Director of Instructional Partners, the IP establishes and maintains relationships with key staff at assigned schools and leads the analysis of school needs and the development of key supports as defined in partnership with school staff to improve academic outcomes of students and customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesMeet regularly and consistently with school teams (including teachers, counselors, and others) to collaboratively engage in the design thinking process, address challenges and develop innovative strategies related to curriculum, instruction, and technologyServe as domain expert to map school profile and framework with curriculum, instruction, and technology tools and resourcesMaintain a log of challenges and opportunities to problem solve and measure impact, deliver short-term solutions, and inform long-term roadmap planningUnderstand and incorporate the Dynamic School Model of evidence-based practices and connect curriculum and technology tools in pursuit of school and student performanceEstablish and maintain the P&T partnership between PVS and schoolsServe as a customer voice on the P&T team in all phases of work: reviewing, planning, implementation, release, evaluationDefine, prioritize, and facilitate completion of school-specific needs, including course customizations and supporting curriculum resourcesFacilitate Product and Curriculum review process of legislation that potentially impacts curriculumDefine, prioritize, and facilitate completion of school-specific needs, including course customizations and supporting curriculum resourcesFacilitate Product and Curriculum review process of legislation that potentially impacts curriculumConduct research into state, charter, and school requirements to address school needsCollaborate with P&T colleagues to stay current and engaged with the Product Roadmap and Strategy, understanding implications for school partnersLead the analysis of school needs for the implementation of existing products and technology toolsCollaborate with other IPs on the maintenance of a collection of instructional practices, curriculum, and technology tools to leverage in problem-solving with schoolsCollaborate with other school support staff at PVS and consult on ways to support schools with academic outcomesProvide curriculum, instruction, and technology strategies to best support the school’s School Improvement Plan outcomesKey RelationshipsCollaborate closely with the P&T Instructional Partners, colleagues in Product, Curriculum, and Technology, as well as other roles at PVS supporting school partnersWork closely with school staff to support the implementation of products and technology toolsTraining & CompetenciesMust be a critical and “out-of-the-box” thinker and problem solverMust be a self-starter and continuous learner – one who is willing to research and acquire new skillsMust be resourceful – able to leverage internal and external resources to support meeting school needsMust be comfortable with ambiguity and pivoting prioritiesMust be analytical – able to grasp complex concepts and synthesize data to drive actions and decision-makingMust communicate complex information to colleagues in a way that can be easily understoodExperience & CompetenciesMaster’s degree in Education or related field is desiredMinimum of five (5) years of experience in instructional support or related experience in the US K-12 education spaceMinimum of seven (7) years of experience in the US K-12 education space, with at least 3 years in virtual learning preferredThorough understanding of K-12 academic standards and requirements, and their application in public institutionsProven track record of meeting deadlines while producing highly accurate, accountable work; very detail-orientedAdvanced knowledge of education management systems, learning management systems, and/or content management systemsTechnologically proficient with Microsoft Office, Azure Dev Ops, Google Suite, Adobe, and ability to learn other software programs and technology platforms quicklyMust enjoy a challenging work environment that requires flexibility, self-direction, creativity, strong communication, and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCompensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location.
