Job Description

FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to assist in providing a safe learning environment for the students, teachers, and other school staff by helping maintain order and report or remove students whose behavior is unsafe or disruptive during school's lunch period. This position is temporary part-time position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises students assigned to lunchroom by monitoring their activities and ensuring their physical welfare.
• Monitors lunchroom for rules compliance.
• Provides assistance to students requiring additional guidance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Demonstrates ability to be equitable and fair.
• Demonstrates courtesy and respect in dealing with students, parents, staff, and visitors.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to show versatility in dealing with unique issues while maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and administrators.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

* Minimum: Must be 18 years of age with ability to effectively read and write.
