Position Summary:

We are seeking a Manager II, Commissions to oversee the administration of variable compensation plans for our Sales organization and referral partners. This role plays a key part in supporting our high-growth business, ensuring that commission programs are accurately implemented to align with the sales teams and company goals.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with Revenue Operations and Sales leadership to understand compensation strategy and support the rollout of new plans. You’ll also partner with Accounting Operations and IT teams to enhance data integration, streamline reporting, and drive continuous improvement across compensation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with senior and executive leaders, including across revenue operations, finance, and accounting teams.
  • Provide daily direction and communication to the team (e.g., Commissions Analysts) to ensure deadlines are met in a timely and efficient manner
  • Act as a strategic thought partner with the Sales Operations team on commission plan design, advising on efficiency, data availability, and plan execution topics
  • Manage all commission compensation according to documented commission plans and ensure compensation is properly calculated, accounted for, and paid in the appropriate timeframe
  • Ensure internal controls over commissions and partner referrals are executed timely and accurately to prevent and detect errors and to resolve them
  • Ensure accuracy of data and inputs; maintain a deep understanding of the source data and of the calculations completed across all plans
  • Manage payment process with referral partners to ensure timely and accurate payments based on established agreements
  • Review internal control processes at newly acquired companies, ensure interim controls are implemented and identify responsible parties, and integrate new acquisitions in the scheduled timeframe
  • Consult with the accounting policy team and accounting to review new or changed sales plans and provide the information needed to determine if deferral accounting is appropriate, for inclusion in data provided to accounting on a monthly basis

Location:

This role is a hybrid position, based out of our Minneapolis office (2-3x a week). Our team #SucceedsTogether through collaboration in office with the flexibility to work remotely. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization, including with senior and executive leaders, external service providers, and external audit team
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities and tight deadlines
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in an environment of high growth and continual change by taking initiative and properly setting and shifting priorities
  • Strong process implementation and change management skills enabling the Manager to manage the annual compensation plan process and acquisition plan implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze issues, determine and implement appropriate solutions and resolve sensitive problems is required
  • Proficient to advanced level of competency with Microsoft Excel & SQL query language
  • Good knowledge of systems and automation
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automated commission calculation systems (such as Xactly) and CRM/sales systems (such as SalesForce)

The salary range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more.

The annual salary range for this role is: $93,200 - $149,200. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.

Additionally, you may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. An incentive award, if granted, is based on individual and/or organizational performance.
