Job Title: Structural MIG Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Combination Welder to weld and assemble new metal forms. The ideal candidate should possess 2-5 years of welding experience and be proficient in using power tools, grinders, and cutting tools. You will be required to weld and fabricate products from mechanical drawings, diagrams, and blueprints with precision, applying appropriate welding techniques on various metals.

Responsibilities

• Weld and assemble new metal forms using TIG and MIG welding techniques.
• Interpret and fabricate products from mechanical drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Perform welding on various metals with precision.
• Conduct repetitive work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
• Work within the Sheet Metal, Structural, or Pipe Departments.
• Read and interpret blueprints and tape measures.
• Pass a t-joint weld test.
• Use provided tools, excluding welding hood.

Essential Skills

• 2-5 years of welding experience.
• Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding.
• Experience with welding stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.
• Ability to read blueprints and specification drawings.
• Skill in using tape measures, grinders, and cutting torches.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with overhead and JIG crane operations.
• Troubleshooting skills for welding processes.

Work Environment

This position requires working in a non-climate-controlled shop exposed to various weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. The noise level in some areas may be high. The second shift runs from 4:30 PM to 3 AM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
