We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Steel Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of structural steel design, fabrication, and installation processes. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our projects from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Create detailed drawings and plans for structural steel components using CAD software.
Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to ensure alignment with project requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs.
Prepare detailed material lists, bolt lists, and assembly instructions for fabrication and erection.
Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
Manage project documentation and maintain organized records of drawings and revisions.
Troubleshoot design issues and provide solutions in collaboration with the team.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Structural Steel Detailer or in a related role.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar detailing software.
Strong understanding of structural steel design, fabrication, and erection practices.
Familiarity with industry standards such as AISC, CISC, and OSHA regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Associate degree or certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field (preferred).
