**Job Title: Cardiac Transplant Stepdown Registered Nurse**

**Job Description:**

Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for cardiology and advanced patient care? Join us in providing critical care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including heart transplants and LVAD therapies. As a Cardiac Transplant Stepdown RN, you will work in a high-acuity environment, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to patients experiencing advanced heart failure, as well as those requiring pre and post-operative support.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to heart transplant candidates and recipients, as well as patients with advanced heart failure and LVAD therapy.
- Monitor and assess telemetry readings and vital signs, ensuring timely interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatment options, and care plans.
- Manage complex patient cases in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


**Qualifications:**
- Valid RN License in New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care or telemetry setting.
- Proven telemetry experience is a must.
- Experience with Swan-Ganz catheters is preferred.


**Certifications:**
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

**Guaranteed Hours:**
- Contract duration: 117 weeks, rotating shifts of 12 hours (Days, Evenings, Nights), with every other weekend and holiday shifts as needed.
