The DoD central epidemiological resource and a global health surveillance proponent for the U.S. Armed Forces provide timely, relevant, actionable, and comprehensive health surveillance information. The mission is to promote, maintain, and enhance the health of military and military-associated populations. Location: Washington DC Metro Responsibilities Leads MSMR staff in planning, designing, analyzing, and reporting of disease and injury trends within the DoD. Responsible for the quality and timeliness of the MSMR publication. Writes and edits medical and scientific papers. Provides consultative support in epidemiology, biostatistics, and public health to other government personnel. Provides professional mentoring to medical and graduate students, physicians-in-training, and other health professionals. Qualifications MD, DO in Preventive Medicine (PM) or Occupational Medicine (OM) and; MPH or MS Epidemiology and; prior military service in order to adequately prioritize what are the priority medical conditions and issues of relevance to the MHS and the US military at-large.
